The Importance of Fire Protection in IT Rooms & Data Centres
Data centres are mission-critical environments that support digital infrastructure for enterprises, service providers, and public-sector organisations. Clean Agent Data Centre Fire Suppression Systems
Clean Agents, such as FK-5-1-12 (Novec™ 1230 Fluid) and FM 200® (HFC 227ea), suppress fire by absorbing heat or chemically interrupting combustion. They are electrically non-conductive, non-corrosive, and safe for occupied spaces, extinguishing fires within seconds, while minimising thermal damage and preventing fire propagation.
Our AutoFireX® Systems deliver rapid, localised Data Centre Fire Suppression through two strategies: rack-level suppression detects and extinguishes fires at their origin, while total flooding systems protect enclosed servers. This dual-layer approach significantly reduces equipment damage and downtime.
Compliant with NFPA 75, these systems provide rapid detection and suppression at the ignition point without water damage, eliminating sprinkler discharge risks. With self-actuating operation, they require no electrical power. The clean-agent discharge leaves no residue, eliminating cleanup requirements. Compatible with energised equipment, they are safe for personnel and electronic equipment. With minimal impact on existing layouts, your system can integrate with alarms, shutdown circuits, and monitoring systems.
