Pneumatic Kitchen Fire Suppression Systems
Pneumatic Wet Chemical Agent Fire Suppression Systems for Restaurants & Commercial Kitchens
Commercial kitchens are highly challenging environments where fires can originate from numerous sources, such as defective or damaged heating controls, unattended appliances, overheating burners, and the buildup of grease or dirt. Our AutoFireX® Pneumatic (AFX P Series) Wet Chemical Kitchen Fire Suppression Systems are BSI EN 17446 certified and pre-engineered to help you address the above risks with precision and reliability, delivering rapid detection and effective extinguishment. For mechanical options, please see our AFX M Series Systems.

How Our AFX P Series Kitchen Fire Suppression Systems Work
Manufactured in UKAS-accredited, ISO 9001:2015-certified facilities, these Pneumatic Kitchen Fire Suppression Systems are designed to meet leading global standards for ventilation control, fire protection, and wet chemical extinguishing systems in commercial cooking operations and equipment, including UL 300, EN 17446, NFPA 17A and NFPA 96.
Featuring CE-marked mild-steel cylinders, these systems employ a Linear Pneumatic Heat Detection Tube routed above your cooking appliances and within kitchen hoods. When exposed to temperatures exceeding 165°C, the tube ruptures at the hottest point, instantly triggering the differential pressure valve on the cylinder. This action releases the pressurised wet chemical agent directly onto the fire, ensuring rapid knockdown and secure suppression.
A connected pressure switch can automatically initiate a fire alarm signal and activate a gas isolation valve to shut off the fuel supply. In addition to automatic operation, the system can also be manually activated via a strategically positioned Manual Push Station.

Benefits of Our Pneumatic Kitchen Fire Protection System
Delivering 24/7 protection for high-risk commercial cooking environments, the Pneumatic Kitchen Fire Suppression System’s design combines advanced detection with proven K-Foam/SF6 Wet Chemical Agent suppression for fast response and effective flame knockdown. It delivers automatic suppression within seconds, minimising equipment damage and operational downtime.
With versatile detection options, including UL-listed Linear Heat Sensing Cables or Pneumatic Detection Tubes, plus integrated gas shut-off, manual activation, and fire annunciation, this system activates only upon confirmed fire detection, ensuring zero false alarms. As a pre-engineered, standalone system, it is lightweight, compact, and easy to install – ideal for both OEM integration and retrofit applications. Constructed with high-quality, long-life, corrosion-resistant stainless steel components, it offers durability in harsh kitchen environments.
Requiring low maintenance and cost-effective servicing, it can be recharged and returned to operation quickly after a fire. Its linear detection technology is designed to withstand high grease levels, high temperatures, and demanding kitchen conditions.
